      • Kubrick's films all about systems, seeing the human from the outside...the Real, which is teeming with intention and desire.
      • Vacancy of Kubrick's POV – not coldness – the architecture of Being.
      • Overlook as main character – a container (?) Kubick POV in uncomfortable, contrast with Speilberg empathy. Not a human perspective – pre-alienated – the human disappears, the viewer is non-human while watching. Not that there is no perspective, but it is a different one.
      • Closing shot denies time.
      • nondualism? "We're not trying to photograph reality, we're trying to photograph a photograph of reality". The subjectivity is always folded in, producing objectivity in the nondual sense. Subjectivity always involved (Yes) and makes viewing uncomfortable.

      • Kube-briek, ha ha. Kubrick's cuts are very visible (brutal). Symmetric framing conveys stageyness. Kubick's "non-submersible units". Every part has to work alone (opposite of C Alexander? Evil twin?)
