Norweigan TV show purportedly about a Russian occupation of Norway, occurring in the near-future as a result of energy policy. A good premise but weirdly handled – you would think that the heroes would be the resistance, but no, they are the bad guys and the heroes are those who want a managed capitulation, sort of. The main character is Prime Minister Jesper Berg, who morphs over the course of the series from a harried but idealistic bureaucrat to power-mad subversive.
In other words, the show is pretty effective as a political thriller on the small time scale, but the story as a whole doesn't make much sense, at least to me. It's possible I'm missing out on some historical context. In reality the Nazis occupied Norway in WWII and I have a feeling the show is echoing that somehow, but don't know enough about the story.
There's about to be a real Russian occupation, of Ukraine, that's going to be fun. Jesus Fucking Christ.
